Mission statement
To advance and disseminate knowledge, innovation and skills development in the life-sciences sector, through collaborative reasoning and multidisciplinary educational initiatives that translate regulatory standards of good practice into day-to-day excellence.
Rationale
The Academy for Patient Centred Excellence and Innovation in Regulatory Sciences was set up to serve as a key platform within the portfolio of the Malta Medicines Authority, through which educational planning and academic development unfold, enabling the delivery of training that is tailored to the evolving needs of stakeholders. The established framework is intended to portend mutual benefits to regulators, policy makers, industry, professionals and society at large.

Award in Medical Devices
A three-day course intended to provide a solid theoretical grounding and practice-oriented implementation of key principles and requirements emanating from the recently established European Medical Devices and In-Vitro Diagnostic Regulations, recognized standards and guidelines. It serves to provide a networking forum for the dissemination of scientific acumen and best practices amongst stakeholders, particularly distributors and importers, steering the translation of pertinent provisions into day-to-day excellence and high-quality healthcare solutions. Award in Pharmacovigilance
A three-day course for a comprehensive understanding of Pharmacovigilance and its vital role in ensuring the safety monitoring of medicinal products, in compliance with EU legislation.
